Operating Room Technician | Bear Lake, Michigan

Deliver outstanding patient care as a Certified Surgical Technologist within a dynamic, multi-specialty operating environment. This role centers on providing intraoperative support for a broad range of surgical cases, including orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy, gynecology, ENT, podiatry, urology, ophthalmology, and dental procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 0700 – 1530
• 24 – 40 hours per week, based on surgical volume
• No weekends or holidays required
• On-call 10–11 days per month (1530 – 1900, Monday to Friday)
• Overtime applicable after 40 hours; hours not guaranteed

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited program for Surgical Technologists
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• BLS certification required
• Experience in an operating room environment, especially with a range of case types (including ortho and general surgery)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to function effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented settings

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for a diverse array of surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons, nurses, and other team members with instruments and supplies throughout each case
• Ensure compliance with protocols for infection prevention and patient safety
• Maintain accurate counts of instruments and materials
• Participate in pre- and post-operative room turnover and supply restocking
• Remain available and responsive during designated on-call shifts for urgent surgical cases
