Schedule/Hours:

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent
  • Experience and proficiency in Operating Room Technology (ORT) or perioperative nursing support
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Understanding of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and infection control practices
  • Adaptability and competence within diverse surgical specialties
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms for various surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and ready
  • Assist physicians and nurses during surgeries, anticipating needs and maintaining a sterile field at all times
  • Perform instrument counts pre- and post-procedure, adhering strictly to safety protocols
  • Assist with patient positioning and transport as needed
  • Ensure proper care and handling of surgical specimens
  • Support patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process
  • Participate in post-procedure clean-up and restocking to maintain smooth workflow
