An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced healthcare professional skilled in Nursing - Operating Room Technology (ORT) and Certified Surgical Technologist expertise. This contract role is ideal for someone with a background in providing exceptional support in surgical settings, collaborating with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active certification as a Surgical Technologist
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience in Operating Room Technology (ORT) nursing procedures
  • Proven ability to maintain sterile fields and assist during surgery
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical instrumentation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all instruments and sterile fields are set up according to established protocols
  • Assist surgeons and nurses throughout surgical procedures by anticipating needs, providing instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment
  • Verify and track surgical instruments and supplies before, during, and after procedures
  • Ensure patient safety and uphold best practices for infection control
  • Collaborate with surgical team members to optimize patient outcomes and facilitate smooth workflow
  • Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and transfer as needed
  • Complete detailed documentation related to surgical events and instrument counts
