Operating Room Technician | Brooklyn, Michigan

Schedule:

• 3x12 hour shifts: 7:00 am – 7:30 pm
• On-call once per week and every 6th weekend

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• Previous experience as a travel surgical technologist
• High school diploma or GED required

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgical team by handling, preparing, and passing instruments and supplies for a wide variety of surgical procedures
• Anticipate and respond to the needs of surgeons and nurses during operations
• Provide support for patient preparation and transport within the facility
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and aseptic environment in the operating room
• Work closely with nurses and other surgical team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond promptly to emergent situations according to established protocols
• Support other patient care activities and building service duties as needed

This position is a 13-week contract with potential to extend, providing valuable experience in a collaborative and fast-paced surgical setting.
