A skilled perioperative nurse is needed for a contract opportunity supporting Same Day Surgery Centers in Burnsville, MN, with occasional floating to nearby locations. This role focuses on orthopedic and neuro surgical cases, providing total joint and ortho trauma support in a fast-paced OR setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in orthopedic trauma and total joint surgeries as well as neurological procedures
- Collaborate closely with surgical teams during cases in same day surgery centers
- Utilize specialized skills in Epic and DaVinci systems for patient care coordination
- Support urology cases when required
- Maintain compliance with safety, sterility, and procedural standards
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years recent OR nursing experience, with neuro and ortho expertise including total joints and ortho trauma
- Active NBSTSA or NCCT certification required at time of application
- Current BLS certification mandatory
- Prior experience working with Epic and DaVinci surgical platforms preferred
- Ability to float among multiple same day surgery center locations as needed
Schedule & Location Details:
- Contract position located primarily in Burnsville, MN
- Days, 8-hour shifts with approximately 32-40 hours per week during regular weeks and 24-32 hours during holiday weeks
- No weekend or on-call requirements
