Step into a dynamic operating room environment supporting a wide range of surgical specialties in a high-volume center. This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex cases and collaborate with a highly skilled perioperative team. Shifts are 12 hours, primarily 7:00am–7:00pm, totaling 36 hours per week, with call requirements including a 30-minute response time, available sleep room, 3–4 weeknight calls per 6-week cycle, and 1–2 weekend calls per cycle. Holiday call rotations are also shared.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of operating room experience in specialty role (RN, CST, CVOR RN, or CVOR CST)
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology educational program
  • Valid BLS certification
  • National Surgical Tech certification preferred
  • Experience scrubbing a variety of cases: Orthopedic, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, General, Urology, Robotic, GYN, Colon, Breast, Spine, Podiatry, Plastic surgeries
  • First-time travelers welcome

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surgical instrumentation and equipment for a variety of procedures
  • Scrub and assist in complex cases, maintaining aseptic technique
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to ensure seamless surgical care
  • Support efficient room turnovers and patient positioning
  • Utilize EPIC for documentation and related patient care systems (Alaris IV Pumps, Omnicell, Phillips monitors)
  • Demonstrate adaptability to varied surgical processes and evolving daily surgical schedules
  • Participate in mandatory on-call, weekend, and holiday rotations as scheduled
