Operating Room Technician in Chelsea, MI

Step into a dynamic surgical environment supporting skilled clinicians in deliver outstanding patient care. This role is essential in facilitating successful general surgical procedures and ensuring each patient receives the highest standard of support and safety.

Schedule/Hours:

• 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 am – 7:30 pm
• On-call once per week and every 6th weekend

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist (ST)
• Current CST certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prior experience as a travel surgical technologist
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and ability to anticipate surgical team needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment efficiently during procedures
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow all infection control protocols
• Understand the specifics of each assigned procedure, anticipating and responding to the needs of the surgical team
• Assist with patient preparation and transport
• Provide support with building services and additional patient care duties as needed
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergent situations, following established procedures
• Collaborate effectively with Registered Nurses and other surgical team members to ensure optimal outcomes

Contract Details:

• 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
