• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT)
• Robust knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and safety standards
• Previous experience in an operating room setting is highly preferred
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and the surgical team during procedures
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and arrange surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before procedures
• Assist physicians and nursing staff during operations, ensuring all equipment is functioning and sterile
• Maintain a sterile field and monitor for any potential breaches in protocol
• Account for all surgical instruments and materials pre- and post-operation
• Collaborate with registered nurses, surgeons, and anesthesiologists to maximize patient safety and procedural efficiency
• Handle specimen collection and labeling according to established protocols
• Support room turnover and equipment sterilization processes between surgeries
