Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or active nursing licensure with Operating Room Technician (ORT) experience
• Previous work in an operating room or surgical environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of surgical equipment, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols
• Ability to anticipate surgeon’s needs and respond efficiently under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Commitment to quality patient care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with necessary surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Assist surgeons and nurses during operative procedures by passing instruments, retracting tissues, or maintaining a sterile field
• Ensure strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control standards at all times
• Perform pre- and post-operative equipment checks and ensure all used items are properly handled
• Accurately document patient care activities and collaborate with the surgical team for optimal outcomes
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with all facility protocols and regulations
