Operating Room Technician in Concord, NC

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT)
• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
• Proven clinical experience in an operating room setting
• Comprehensive understanding of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and sterile field setup
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and ancillary staff
• BLS certification (current)
• Capacity to remain focused and proactive during high-pressure or urgent situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by arranging surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, ensuring all equipment is functional and sterile
• Maintain the integrity of the sterile field and follow proper infection control protocols throughout cases
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons by passing instruments and supplies promptly and efficiently
• Handle and account for surgical specimens as required
• Maintain accurate records and document surgical procedures in accordance with facility policies
• Participate in room turnover and general cleaning of operating rooms between surgeries
