Operating Room Technician - Concord, NC

This contract position offers the opportunity to work on a collaborative surgical team, supporting patient care in a facility known for excellence in cardiovascular and stroke services.

Schedule/Hours:

• 10-hour Day Shifts, 06:30–17:00
• Scheduled for 40 hours per week
• Rotating weekend and holiday call rotation with 4-5 weekday and possible weekend call requirements every pay period

Required Qualifications:

• Active certification as a Surgical Technologist
• Previous experience as an OR Tech and familiarity with current surgical best practices
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and technical skills in the operating room
• Ability to manage rotating call, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness and ability to float to other facilities within the division as needed
• Positive attitude and dedication to patient safety and teamwork

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterile and functioning
• Assist surgeons and circulating nurses during operations, adhering to strict aseptic techniques
• Manage surgical instrumentation and surgical field setup
• Foster collaboration within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to fast-paced procedural demands
• Respond efficiently to call backs and urgent surgical cases
• Support documentation and compliance standards with electronic medical record (Epic)
