Schedule:

• Primarily 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm (start times may vary with case load, as early as 6:00 am)
• On-call rotation: 1 night per two-week pay period
• Every 5th or 6th weekend on-call
• Holiday call rotation is required

Required Skills & Experience:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter training
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Surgical Technologist Certification (preferred)
• Experience assisting in General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, Podiatry, Urology, and Dental procedures
• Must stay within 30 minutes of facility when on-call

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile environments in the operating room
• Assist surgical teams across multiple specialties
• Ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and supplies
• Adhere to patient safety protocols and hospital policies
• Support surgical staff in all perioperative phases
