An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced surgical technologist or CST with orthopedic expertise, supporting a high-demand surgical team specializing in general, hand, foot/ankle, sports medicine, total joint robotics, and advanced spine procedures. This role is ideal for professionals comfortable in a fast-paced environment with exposure to cutting-edge robotic systems such as Mako, Rosa, and Cori.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of surgical tech or CST experience, specifically in orthopedic, spine, or sports medicine settings
  • Familiarity with orthopedic robotics: Mako, Rosa, Cori systems highly preferred
  • Current BLS certification; NBSTSA certification is welcomed but not mandatory
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume specialty hospital operating room

Schedule & Job Details:

  • Contract position based in Des Plaines, IL, starting within two weeks
  • 10-hour day shifts with rotational on-call responsibilities, including weekends and holidays
  • Call rotation requires response within 30 minutes with a minimum 2-hour call-back commitment

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assist in orthopedic and spinal surgical procedures using both traditional and robotic techniques
  • Maintain sterile field and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are ready and functioning
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other OR staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Demonstrate expertise and adaptability in a specialty hospital setting known for orthopedic and spine care
