This travel opportunity is tailored for an ORT with a strong foundation in sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative communications. You’ll play a vital hands-on role alongside skilled professionals, sharpening your practice and adapting to diverse clinical workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain sterile surgical fields, ensuring integrity and patient safety at every stage.
- Collaborate with RN and surgical team during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, using up-to-date AORN standards.
- Prepare, check, and maintain sterile equipment and supplies, addressing indicators and expiration dates.
- Actively monitor for any compromise in the sterile field and report or initiate corrective actions.
- Participate fully in pre- and post-operative briefings, ensuring clear communication and team cohesion.
- Assist with patient transport, operating room setup, and turnover for seamless workflow.
- Clean, prepare, and facilitate the terminal sterilization of surgical instruments.
- Engage with the latest surgical technologies and maintain competency in Tier 1 cases.
- Model Just Culture principles, emphasizing professional conduct and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or hold a current Colorado licensure as a Surgical Technologist.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Proficient in English and comfortable with computers for documentation and learning modules.
- Experience working with patients across the lifespan, from neonatal to geriatric populations.
