Operating Room Technician - Euclid, OH

Experienced Operating Room Technologists with first assist expertise are sought for a contract assignment spanning 13 weeks. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic surgical environments and are ready to leverage both technical and clinical skills in perioperative patient care.

Schedule and Hours:

• 5 shifts per week, 8-hour days
• Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm
• Specific days will be discussed during the interview

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Current and valid Ohio nursing license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (must be active)
• Demonstrated experience as an ORT and first assist surgical tech
• Adept knowledge and previous use of advanced life support equipment
• High level of hand/eye coordination with sustained mental attentiveness
• Ability to respond effectively to Second Call responsibilities
• Solid understanding of human anatomy and physiology within a surgical context

Responsibilities:

• Apply the nursing process throughout all aspects of the nurse first assistant role
• Deliver high-quality, safe patient care by integrating surgical knowledge and expertise
• Proactively establish and maintain a safe environment in the operating room
• Work collaboratively with surgeons and the perioperative team to optimize patient outcomes
• Utilize critical thinking to support intraoperative decision-making
• Demonstrate advanced technical proficiency and anticipate needs during surgical procedures
