Operating Room Technician in Euclid, OH

Seeking a skilled and certified Surgical Technologist (ORT) with proficiency in a range of operating room techniques to support a dynamic surgical team for a 13-week contract. This role requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong background in scrubbing for various procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

• Four 10-hour day shifts per week (7:00am – 5:30pm)
• On-call duty required: one call per week (5:30pm – 7:00am the following morning)
• One weekend call every five weeks (Saturday or Sunday, 24 hours)
• Mandate call rotation as needed to ensure full coverage

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (ORT)
• Prior experience in a level 3 trauma center or similar high-acuity environment preferred
• Demonstrated ability to scrub orthopedic total joints, laparoscopic, and robotic surgeries independently
• Strong adaptability and a commitment to providing prompt, high-quality support in emergency and routine situations
• Ability to respond to the facility within 30 minutes when on call
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms, including equipment setup, for orthopedic, laparoscopic, robotic, and trauma procedures
• Maintain a sterile field and assist the surgical team throughout operative interventions
• Respond efficiently to add-on or emergency cases
• Support patient safety initiatives and ensure adherence to infection control protocols
• Take part in on-call and weekend coverage to maintain continuous patient care availability
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other team members
