Travel Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Tech Gallup, NM

Overview

Surgical Technologist travel opportunity in Gallup, New Mexico, offering a Monday–Friday day schedule and a weekly pay package of $1,900. This 13-week contract begins in November and is open to candidates who meet the facility’s distance requirement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Establish and maintain the sterile field throughout each case.
• Pass instruments and supplies while anticipating the surgical team’s needs.
• Participate in surgical counts and follow facility procedures for specimen handling.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to support safe, efficient patient care.
• Follow infection prevention practices and facility safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program, such as a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited program.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery–Certified (TS-C) preferred.

• Location: Gallup, New Mexico
• Start Date: November
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5×8-hour day shifts
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Weekly Pay: $1,900 total weekly package; stipends subject to eligibility
• Distance Requirement: Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
