Operating Room Technician - Goose Creek, SC

Certified Surgical Technologists and individuals with Nursing - ORT skills will play a key part in ensuring safe, efficient operating room procedures. Qualifications:

• Active certification as a Surgical Technologist, or Nursing - ORT credentials
• Demonstrated experience in an operating room setting
• Comprehensive knowledge of surgical equipment, instrument sterilization, and aseptic techniques
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond effectively under pressure
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Current BLS certification required

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and available
• Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery
• Monitor for and help prevent infection or contamination
• Support patient care by maintaining confidentiality and professionalism throughout each case
• Adhere to safety guidelines and hospital protocols
