Operating Room Technician in Grass Lake, MI

Seeking a skilled and dedicated healthcare professional to join a surgical team in a vital contract position supporting the operating room. This role requires expertise in both Operating Room Technology (ORT) nursing and Certified Surgical Technology, ensuring optimal patient care during surgical procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM CST)
• 36 hours per week
• 3 shifts per week
• Includes 1 call shift per week
• Every 6th weekend required
• Assignment begins 11/02/2026 and runs through 01/30/2027

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proven experience in either surgical nursing or as a certified surgical technologist
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical procedures, and instrumentation
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary supplies, equipment, and instruments are sterile and ready
• Assist surgical teams before, during, and after procedures, anticipating needs to support efficient workflow
• Monitor sterile field and ensure adherence to safety protocols at all times
• Maintain accurate documentation for each procedure and communicate effectively with staff and surgeons
• Participate in the care and maintenance of surgical equipment and adherence to infection control standards

$1,441 - $1,576/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
