Operating Room Technician in Gresham, OR

Seeking a skilled professional to support operating room procedures as a Certified Surgical Technician. This contract position spans 13 weeks and offers an opportunity to contribute to superior patient outcomes in a dynamic surgical environment.

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week (12 hours each)
• Day shift, 9:00am - 9:30pm
• Specific working days to be determined during the interview

Qualifications:

• Current BLS certification
• At least 2 years of recent experience as a Certified Surgical Tech or similar nursing support in operating rooms
• Demonstrated proficiency in sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced surgical settings

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for scheduled surgeries, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and organized
• Assist surgical teams with procedures, anticipating the needs of surgeons and nurses
• Maintain proper equipment handling, including set-up, operation, and sterilization of instruments
• Support patient safety protocols and contribute to an environment focused on high-quality care
• Document perioperative care activities thoroughly and accurately
• Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory requirements
