Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time hours
  • Day shifts with rotating or on-call coverage

Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician (CST or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a hospital or surgical center operating room
  • Comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic technique, and instrumentation
  • Ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Current BLS certification
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move patients and equipment as required

Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary supplies and sterile equipment are ready for each procedure
  • Assist surgeons and nurses during operations, anticipating their needs and providing instruments or supplies promptly
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards and aseptic techniques throughout all activities
  • Safeguard the sterile field and immediately correct any potential breaches
  • Accurately track surgical instruments, supplies, and specimens
  • Perform post-operative clean-up and prepare the room for subsequent cases
  • Effectively communicate with team members to ensure efficiency and patient safety
