We are seeking a skilled professional with a background in Nursing - ORT and Certified Surgical Technology to assist in a fast-paced operating room environment on a contract basis.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Nursing - Operating Room Technician (ORT) background strongly preferred
• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program
• Proven experience assisting in various surgical procedures
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and operating room protocols
• Ability to effectively communicate with surgical teams and support staff
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on patient safety

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and ensure all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for procedures
• Assist surgeons and nurses throughout the surgical process, anticipating needs and passing instruments
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and aseptic practices
• Prepare surgical specimens and ensure accurate labeling
• Collaborate with team members to monitor patient status and respond to changing needs
• Participate in room turnover and post-procedure equipment sterilization
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and inventory
