Operating Room Technician - Huntersville, North Carolina

Seeking experienced professionals to play a key role in surgical services with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care. This contract position requires a strong background in Nursing - ORT or Certified Surgical Technology.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week (07:00 am – 07:00 pm)
• On-call rotation: 3-4 weeknight calls per 6-week schedule (shifts 7p–7a)
• 1-2 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule on call (Sat or Sun, 7a–7p or 7p–7a)
• No required weekend rotations outside of call shifts
• Holiday call rotation participation
• No floating to other units

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or relevant Nursing – ORT experience required
• Valid, active state licensure/credentials
• Proven clinical competencies and knowledge within perioperative settings
• Strong ability to work independently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills
• Previous travel or contract experience welcomed but not required

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields
• Assist surgeons and perioperative teams during procedures, ensuring a safe operative environment
• Maintain accurate counts for surgical instruments and supplies
• Adhere strictly to surgical protocols and patient safety standards
• Respond promptly to on-call requests in accordance with department needs
• Collaborate closely with the intraoperative team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
