Operating Room Technician - Jackson, Michigan

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or credentialed ORT
• Comprehensive understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control
• Previous experience assisting in surgical procedures
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate surgeon needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Adaptable to changing priorities and able to work efficiently under pressure

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time, flexible shift options available based on facility needs

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and functioning
• Assist surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Monitor and maintain patient safety throughout surgical processes
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures as per protocol
• Support inventory management of surgical instruments and supplies
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transport to and from the operating room
• Adhere strictly to facility policies and regulatory standards
