An opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room Technician specializing in orthopedic cases. This role is ideal for professionals with prior experience in cardiovascular or orthopedic surgical technology who are looking to contribute their skills in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgical teams during orthopedic procedures, ensuring all instruments and equipment are properly prepared and sterile
  • Maintain operating room safety protocols throughout the procedure
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide seamless patient care
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain electronic medical records using Epic
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and sterile processing standards
  • Work weekend and holiday shifts as necessary to maintain optimal OR coverage

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Operating Room Technician with specific expertise in orthopedic cases
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Proficient in using Epic EMR system
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments
  • Flexibility to cover night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule:

  • Night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Guaranteed 36 total working hours per week (excluding one-hour breaks)
