Deliver essential support in the operating room as a valued member of the surgical team. This role requires a highly skilled Nursing OR Technician or Certified Surgical Technician, comfortable working in a busy General Operating Room setting, and contributing to patient safety and procedural efficiency.

Schedule Details:

  • Choose from 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts; all end by 11:30pm (typical hours: 3:00pm–11:30pm or 1:00pm–11:30pm)
  • Rotational weekend call: every 3 to 4 weeks (Saturday and Sunday, evening hours)
  • 1–2 night call shifts per week (11:30pm–7:00am)
  • Shift after shift may be assigned following your scheduled weekend

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist or training as an OR Technician required
  • Demonstrated expertise in sterile and aseptic technique
  • Experience in general operating room environments preferred
  • Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and remain organized under pressure
  • Familiarity with infection control policies and safety protocols
  • Strong focus on teamwork, communication, and patient care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold infection control by practicing proper surgical scrub and sterile technique
  • Assist surgeons with gowning, gloving, draping, and instrument management throughout procedures
  • Maintain an organized operative field; manage supply counts and ensure all instruments and materials are properly handled
  • Prepare OR for each case and care for instruments/supplies before and after use
  • Anticipate and address hazards, collaborate with nursing and support teams, and assist in preoperative equipment checks
  • Handle specimens appropriately according to established procedures
  • Help expedite surgery room turnover for efficiency
  • Participate in call rotation as required by the department
  • Take on additional duties as assigned to support high-quality patient care
