Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgeries, ensuring necessary equipment and sterile supplies are available
- Scrub in and assist surgeons during procedures, anticipating their needs
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques throughout each surgical case
- Handle surgical instruments and specimens according to established protocols
- Monitor and track surgical inventory, ensuring consistent availability of required materials
- Collaborate closely with registered nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia professionals to promote a safe surgical environment
- Support post-procedure clean-up and preparation for subsequent cases
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Experience in an operating room technician (ORT) role preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and operating room protocols
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and rapidly changing surgical demands
- Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork
- Current BLS certification required
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
