Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
  • Demonstrated skills and recent experience in operating room technology (ORT).
  • Solid understanding of aseptic techniques and sterilization processes.
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of surgical teams and respond swiftly in high-demand situations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Up-to-date Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field before and during surgical procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and nurses by providing surgical instruments and supplies promptly.
  • Monitor and support infection control standards to ensure patient safety.
  • Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to each specific procedure.
  • Manage specimens for laboratory analysis in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assist with the turnover and restocking of operating rooms between cases.
  • Collaborate with anesthesia and perioperative personnel for efficient case flow.
