Operating Room Technician in Kannapolis, NC

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced professional with strong skills as a Certified Surgical Technologist and Nursing - ORT background. This contract position requires a knowledgeable and detail-oriented individual ready to provide exceptional support in the operating room and deliver optimal patient care.

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Nursing - ORT experience preferred
• Proven ability to function efficiently in the operating room under pressure
• Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Proficient in instrument handling, surgical equipment setup, and assisting during a variety of procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment for procedures
• Assist surgeons, nurses, and other operating room personnel throughout surgeries
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and universal precautions
• Participate in instrument counts before and after each surgical procedure
• Respond quickly and effectively to changing situations in the OR
• Ensure equipment is functioning correctly and troubleshoot any issues
• Support patient safety and comfort at all times
• Accurately document operative procedures and supplies used
