Operating Room Technician - Lakewood, OH

An excellent opportunity is available for a dedicated and certified Surgical Technologist or Nursing professional skilled in operating room techniques. This contract role spans 13 weeks and involves supporting outpatient surgery centers, offering a dynamic environment where adaptability and expertise are highly valued.

Schedule:

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Floating required between outpatient surgery centers within a major healthcare system

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent with operating room technology background
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Previous experience in an outpatient or surgical setting preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to sterile techniques
• Flexibility to float between multiple surgery center locations as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and operating room staff with surgical preparations, instrumentation, and procedures
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure all instruments and supplies are safe and properly accounted for
• Support patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures as directed
• Facilitate communication between the surgical team and other healthcare professionals
• Monitor equipment function, troubleshoot minor issues, and escalate when necessary
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain compliance with facility policies
