Operating Room Technician in Lithonia, GA

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience as a Surgical Tech (Non-certified) or with ORT nursing skills required
• Knowledge of proper sterilization and infection control procedures in a surgical setting
• Ability to assist in setup and breakdown of operating rooms
• Competency in handling surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to ensure optimal surgical outcomes
• Strong commitment to safety, patient dignity, and teamwork

Key Responsibilities:

• Support surgeons and nursing staff before, during, and after operative procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and arrange instruments needed for surgery
• Pass instruments, sutures, and other necessary items to the surgical team during procedures
• Assist with proper disposal and documentation of surgical materials
• Participate in the cleaning and restocking of operating rooms between cases
• Adhere strictly to facility policies and safety standards throughout assignments
