Operating Room Technician | Lithonia, Georgia

A rewarding opportunity is available for experienced Surgical Technologists to support a busy operating room. This crucial role provides direct assistance during surgeries and requires expertise across various specialties, with a focus on trauma procedures. Three positions are open, and both local candidates and those with relevant backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Call required

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred
• Certification as a Surgical Tech is desirable but not required
• Strong trauma surgery experience is essential
• Comprehensive skills in Orthopedic, Neurosurgical, and Vascular procedures
• Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Commitment to best practices in aseptic and sterile techniques
• Valid credentials for nursing or surgical technologist (ORT) roles

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all supplies and equipment are sterile and ready
• Assist surgical teams during procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgeons and maintaining a sterile field
• Handle surgical instruments, sponges, sutures, and other necessary items
• Support patient safety through adherence to strict protocols
• Collaborate in post-operative clean-up and preparation for subsequent cases
• Be available for on-call shifts as scheduled
