Operating Room Technician - Macon, GA

The hospital features a state-of-the-art operating suite, supporting its Level 1 Trauma and teaching hospital designations.

Schedule:

• 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week
• On-call required: 6–9 shifts per month, including holiday and weekend rotation

Desired Experience and Credentials:

• Surgical Technologist: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program, BLS (CST strongly preferred)
• Operating Room Nurse: BLS required
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in General OR or at least 5 years in CVOR
• Experience welcomed from both seasoned and first-time travelers (dependent on relevant background)
• Proficiency in working with high-acuity patient populations and a variety of surgical cases (General, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiovascular)
• Comfort utilizing advanced technology platforms including EPIC Optime, Alaris IV Pumps, Pyxis, and Phillips Monitors

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in diverse surgical procedures: GYN, plastics, ENT, ortho/spine, neurosurgery, robotics, colorectal, and cardiovascular
• Maintain strict surgical asepsis and patient safety protocols
• Participate in call rotation and respond efficiently to emergent cases
• Collaborate closely with a supportive team within a culture dedicated to inclusion and mutual respect
