Operating Room Technician | Manistee, Michigan

Advance your career as a Certified Surgical Technologist supporting a diverse operating room environment. This contract opportunity offers hands-on experience across a wide range of specialties, including orthopedic, general, endoscopy, gynecology, ENT, podiatry, urology, ophthalmology, and dental procedures.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 24–40 hours per week, volume-based scheduling
• On-call required: 10–11 days/month, 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday
• No weekends or holidays

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Previous experience with ortho, general surgery, endoscopy, GYN, ENT, podiatry, urology, eyes, and dental cases preferred

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and sterile instruments for a variety of surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons during operations by providing instruments and maintaining the sterile field
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly
• Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols
• Ensure accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures
• Support endoscopy setups and assist with post-operative room turnover
