Exciting opportunity available for a skilled professional with experience supporting operating rooms as either a non-certified Surgical Tech or an Operating Room Technician. Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an ORT (Operating Room Technician) or Surgical Tech
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and safety procedures
  • Strong organizational abilities to assist with surgical preparations and equipment management
  • Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and react promptly to intraoperative changes
  • Skilled in maintaining accurate records and managing instrument sterilization
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills
  • Reliable, dedicated, and able to thrive under pressure
  • Completion of a relevant training program (preferred, but not mandatory for non-certified role)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies prior to procedures
  • Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations, ensuring optimal workflow
  • Monitor and maintain the sterile field at all times
  • Handle surgical specimens and facilitate their proper documentation and transport
  • Support room turnover, including cleaning and restocking as needed between cases
  • Adhere strictly to infection control and patient safety protocols
