Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is required
- Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of the operating room, particularly sterile technique
- At least one year of recent experience as either an operating room technician (ORT) or surgical technologist
- Ability to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments for procedures
- Assist surgeons, nurses, and other staff during surgeries to ensure patient safety and workflow efficiency
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile and aseptic techniques
- Safeguard accurate instrument counts before and after procedures
- Support patient care throughout preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
- Maintain equipment and report repairs when necessary
