Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent ORT training
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Proven experience supporting surgical procedures in hospital settings
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and surgical priorities
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating room and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and available
  • Assist surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals during procedures
  • Maintain accurate counts of surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies
  • Adhere strictly to infection control and patient safety standards
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure a smooth workflow
  • Support pre-operative and post-operative processes as needed
  • Document activities diligently and comply with facility protocols
