Experience a dynamic surgical environment by providing essential support as a Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT) and Surgical Technologist. In this contract position, you'll work alongside experienced surgeons and nursing staff to help ensure every operation runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• Proven experience working in an operating room setting
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical instruments, and sterile field protocols
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
• Demonstrated ability to respond to emergency situations in a calm and efficient manner

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to surgery
• Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field
• Monitor and maintain aseptic techniques throughout all surgical procedures
• Handle specimens and ensure accurate labeling for laboratory analysis
• Perform surgical counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures to ensure patient safety
• Help with the proper cleaning and sterilization of instruments and equipment following each surgery
• Adhere to all facility and regulatory policies regarding infection control and patient safety
