Operating Room Technician - Matthews, NC

Step into a fast-paced surgical environment and make an impact as a Certified Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician. This contract role is ideal for those who thrive in the operating room and are comfortable with a dynamic schedule.

Schedule/Hours:

• 10-hour day shifts, 06:30–17:00
• Every other weekend rotation
• Rotating holiday on-call requirements with 4–5 weekday or possible weekend calls per pay period

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist or proven nursing experience in the operating room setting
• Recent experience assisting in the OR with a strong grasp of aseptic technique
• Valid BLS certification
• Comfortable taking call and responding as needed
• Adaptability for rotating shifts and holiday requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgical teams in preparing operating rooms, arranging equipment, and handing instruments during procedures
• Adhere strictly to infection control and patient safety standards
• Respond to on-call and call-back requirements as necessary
• Maintain an organized sterile environment throughout all surgical interventions
• Support the department by floating to different units or facilities within the region when required
• Ensure timely documentation and communication with all team members
