Operating Room Technician in Mentor, OH

An exciting opportunity is available for professionals experienced in operating room technology and First Assist Tech roles. Contribute your expertise to a dynamic surgical team on a contract basis.

Schedule/Hours:

• 13-week contract
• Monday through Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (five 8-hour shifts)
• Specific working days will be confirmed during the interview process

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

• Valid and current Ohio Nursing License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Demonstrated experience as an ORT (Operating Room Technician) and First Assist Tech
• Strong proficiency with Advanced Life Support Equipment
• Excellent hand/eye coordination and mental focus
• Ability to take Second Call when required

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply the nursing process in all aspects of the nurse first assistant role during perioperative care
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to deliver safe, effective patient care
• Ensure the maintenance and establishment of a safe and sterile peri-operative environment
• Demonstrate advanced skills in managing life support equipment and responding to surgical needs
• Maintain a heightened awareness and proficiency in all aspects of surgical assisting
• Cooperate actively with surgeons and other healthcare professionals in the operating room
