Operating Room Technician | Mentor, Ohio

Experienced Certified Surgical Techs and Operating Room Technicians are needed for an exciting 13-week contract opportunity. This role is essential in delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic surgical setting, supporting procedures through precise technical skills and team collaboration.

Schedule/Hours:

• 5x8 hour mid shifts
• Shifts run 11:00am to 7:30pm, Monday through Friday

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (Surgical Tech - Certified)
• Experience as an ORT/Nursing - ORT strongly preferred
• Active BLS certification required
• NTCMB certification required
• Previous experience in an OR or surgical environment highly desirable
• Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and adept at multitasking

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use
• Assist surgical teams during procedures by anticipating instrument needs and maintaining a sterile environment
• Provide technical support for various surgical procedures, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses
• Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices for infection control
• Accurately document intraoperative events as required
• Participate actively in team briefings, time-outs, and debriefings to enhance patient safety
