Step into a dynamic surgical environment where your expertise as an ORT or Certified Surgical Tech will make a real impact on patient outcomes. In this 13-week contract position, you'll primarily support a state-of-the-art, 7-room inpatient/outpatient surgical unit, with occasional floating to a large main OR and trauma service as needed. You'll work in a highly collaborative team, ensuring efficient surgical procedures and exceptional patient care.

Schedule:

  • 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each
  • Mids: 11:45am – 7:45pm

Qualifications:

  • Current BLS certification is required
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (ORT or CST)
  • Experience supporting ophthalmic cases, especially posterior eye and trauma cases, strongly preferred
  • Comfortable and knowledgeable scrubbing eye procedures
  • Proficiency with DaVinci XI robotics is required
  • Prior experience in a facility supporting both inpatient and outpatient surgical environments is a plus
  • Flexibility to float within scope when needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgical procedures per established protocols
  • Scrub and assist on a wide range of surgeries, specializing in ophthalmic and robotic (DaVinci XI) procedures
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, circulating nurses, and anesthesia staff for safe, efficient case flow
  • Maintain sterile field and surgical instrumentation, ensuring safety and compliance at all times
  • Support trauma and general surgery cases as part of a multidisciplinary team when required
  • Adapt quickly to changes in assignments or room needs, floating to other surgical departments as necessary

$1,815 - $1,920/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
