Operating Room Technician in Mentor, OH

Schedule/Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm
• Rotating call requirement: at least one day per week and one weekend per month

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (ORT/CST)
• Active BLS certification required
• Minimum of two years’ experience in an operating room setting
• Proven knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room routines
• Flexibility to take rotating call, including occasional weekends
• Ability to collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and techs across multiple specialties

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures
• Support the surgical team by maintaining a sterile field and handing instruments during operations
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs, ensuring seamless intraoperative workflow
• Adhere to strict safety measures and infection control practices
• Assist in turnover of rooms and inventory management
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and multi-disciplinary staff
• Participate in on-call rotations as scheduled
