Operating Room Technician - Mentor, Ohio

Advance your surgical expertise by supporting a level 3 trauma center as a certified Surgical Tech or Operating Room Technician. This 13-week contract assignment offers a dynamic environment alongside dedicated professionals and provides you with experience handling a diverse surgical caseload.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour day shifts per week (7:00am–5:30pm)
• Call required: One call per week (after shift until 7:00am), plus one weekend call every five weeks (Saturday or Sunday, 7:00am–7:00am)
• Mandate calls rotation as needed for coverage
• Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT)
• Previous experience in a level 3 trauma or similar acute care setting preferred
• Demonstrated ability to scrub for orthopedic total joints, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures
• Strong crisis management, organizational, and communication skills
• Flexible and dependable, with a willingness to participate in call rotation

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms, ensure all equipment is sterile and functional
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating surgical team needs
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques throughout surgical cases
• Manage instruments, supplies, and surgical specimens with attention to detail
• Respond promptly to emergencies and participate effectively in trauma cases

$1,815 - $1,920/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
