A certified Surgical Technologist is needed to support a busy operating room in Milledgeville, GA. This role requires expertise in general and specialty surgeries within a large, Level 1 Trauma and teaching hospital that provides care in diverse surgical areas including orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular, and general surgery.

Qualified candidates hold certification or relevant training in surgical technology and demonstrate at least two years of operating room experience. Preference is given to those with national certification (CST) and BLS credentials. Experience in complex surgical cases such as open heart, orthopedic trauma, neuro spine, and robotics is valuable.

Work Schedule & Contract Details:

  • Contract position with a 6-week rotating schedule
  • 10-hour day shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM with call responsibilities
  • Call rotation includes 6-9 call shifts per month covering weekends and holidays
  • A one-week orientation to hospital systems and unit culture is provided

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with surgical procedures across multiple disciplines, including robotics and cardiovascular surgeries
  • Maintain sterile field and prepare surgical instruments and equipment
  • Work collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality care
  • Utilize EPIC Optime EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication systems, and Phillips monitors in daily tasks
  • Participate in holiday and weekend on-call rotations as required
