Deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic operating room setting as a skilled surgical technologist or operating room technician. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a major teaching hospital with a Level 1 Trauma designation, twenty fully-equipped OR suites, and a robust culture centered on teamwork, safety, and inclusion.

Schedule:

  • 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Includes 6–9 on-call shifts per month (including weekends and holidays)
  • 6-week schedule cycle

Qualifications:

  • For General OR: Minimum 2 years of circulating or scrub experience
  • For CVOR: Minimum 5 years of experience
  • RN applicants must hold a current BLS certification
  • Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) preferred; must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, with active BLS
  • Experience with a wide range of surgical specialties, including general, GYN, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and cardiovascular procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as EPIC Optime and equipment including Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis med dispensing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled support across diverse surgical cases, ranging from plastics, ENT, and colorectal to major ortho, neuro, and cardiovascular surgeries
  • Function effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth case flow and patient safety
  • Rotate call as scheduled, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Maintain and prepare OR environments, following strict aseptic techniques and facility protocols
  • Participate in a one-week orientation to acclimate to the hospital’s culture, systems, and procedures
