Qualifications:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is required
• Experience in an operating room as a Nursing - ORT or Surgical Tech
• Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to anticipate needs of surgeons and communicate effectively with the surgical team
• Current BLS certification
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Capacity to work well under pressure and in fast-paced settings

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and readily available
• Assist surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments and supplies, maintaining clear operative fields, and following all safety protocols
• Monitor and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
• Handle specimens as required and ensure accurate labeling
• Perform surgical counts and support teams with post-operative cleaning and restocking of rooms
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
