Scrub Tech - Monroe, North Carolina

An opportunity is open for a Certified Surgical Technologist with experience in operating room technology to support a busy surgical unit in Monroe, NC. This contract position offers a dynamic work environment with a variety of surgical cases including orthopedic, spine, general, robotic, urology, plastic, and gynecological surgeries. The team operates 13 OR rooms plus a procedure/cysto room, averaging 45 cases daily, providing an ideal setting for experienced surgical techs to utilize and expand their skills.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program required.
• National certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience in specialty areas such as RN, CST, CVOR RN, or CVOR CST.
• Current BLS certification.
• Comfort and proficiency with a broad case mix including orthopedic, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, and robotic surgeries.
• Ability to respond to on-call requirements within 30 minutes.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system and surgical technology equipment.
• First-time travelers are welcome.

Responsibilities:

• Scrubbing and assisting in a broad range of surgeries including total joint arthroplasties, spine surgeries, laparoscopic procedures, breast surgeries, urology, robotic, and plastic surgeries.
• Assisting in room turnover, stocking departmental supplies, and patient positioning.
• Responding to call and holiday rotations with 12-hour shifts primarily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some night and weekend call shifts.
• Participating in a 6-week rotating schedule with weekend and holiday call duties.
• Adhering to cleanliness, safety protocols, and sterile techniques.
