Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist, either certified or non-certified, or Operating Room Technician (ORT)
  • Thorough understanding of operating room protocols and sterile techniques
  • Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs during procedures
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred, but experienced non-certified candidates are welcome
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Familiarity with a variety of surgical instruments and equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
  • Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
  • Ensure accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures
  • Clean and restock the operating area after each procedure
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety policies
  • Support the surgical team with efficient and professional assistance throughout cases

$1,620 - $1,763/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
