Operating Room Technician in Montgomery, AL

Seeking dedicated and skilled surgical professionals to contribute expertise within a high-acuity operating room environment. This contract opportunity focuses on providing exceptional care for trauma, orthopedic, neuro, general, and vascular cases. Work alongside a specialized team within a large, advanced medical center offering cutting-edge surgical technology and robust support resources.

Schedule & Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday (6:30 PM start)
• 36 hours per week

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• At least 2 years’ experience in perioperative roles such as Surgical Technologist (certified or non-certified) or OR Nurse
• Strong background in trauma and neuro procedures (no burns)
• Experience with general, vascular, ENT, orthopedics (spine), gynecology, endovascular, urology, plastics, breasts, eyes
• Robotics proficiency preferred (Mazor/DaVinci XI), especially for neuro and general surgeries
• General knowledge of AAA, carotid, fem-fem bypass, aorta bi-fem, and other vascular procedures advantageous
• Certification preferred but not mandatory
• First-time travelers welcome with strong, relevant experience

Responsibilities:

• Scrub and assist in diverse surgical procedures across multiple service lines
• Ensure patient safety and maintain sterile environments
• Collaborate with OR assistants, desk staff, charge nurses, and service line team leaders
• Participate in a weekend call rotation (one day weekly, one weekend per month)
• Adhere to mandatory holiday rotation requirements
